Broadbury Road, Bristol
Curo are proposing a new 100% affordable housing development at Broadbury Road in Filwood, Bristol. The scheme could see up to 47 much-needed new homes built on the land adjacent to the Broad Plain House social club.

Curo are proposing to deliver 25 houses and 22 flats and maisonettes with one, two and three bedrooms.
Of these, 31 homes would be available to purchase via the Shared Ownership scheme, offered on a part-buy/part-rent basis for local people who qualify; 11 homes would be let at social rent and another 5 would be let at affordable rent through Bristol City Council's choice-based lettings system, HomeChoice.
Most of the new homes would be offered though Shared Ownership in response to the local housing demand, which highlights a need for this type of affordable homeownership product. The development plans do not include the Broad Plain House social club, which will remain in place for local residents to continue to enjoy in the future. Curo’s plans also include sufficient parking provision for new residents on site, in line with BCC’s policy.
Curo intend to submit a planning application to BCC in February 2021. If granted planning permission, Curo could start building works end of 2021 and complete the development in 2023.
