Victoria Avenue, Bristol
Victoria Avenue is an affordable housing development of 14 new homes in Easton, Bristol. The scheme was completed in February 2022 and all homes are now occupied.
All of the homes at Victoria Avenue were let to people on Bristol City Council's housing list, at affordable (10 homes) and social (4 homes) rent.
The 100% affordable housing scheme is the first to be part-funded by money from Curo’s Strategic Partnership with Homes England, secured jointly with Swan Housing Association at the beginning of 2019.
In addition to the Strategic Partnership funding, Curo also secured a grant of £244,000 from Bristol City Council for the new homes.
The land at Victoria Avenue/Matthew's Road was historically used for a range of commercial activities, including as a builders’ merchants, garage, car showroom and warehouse, but has been lying vacant since 2012.
The brownfield regeneration project includes the preservation, refurbishment and change of use of a Grade II listed building.
