Introducing housing officers in your area – local support for you and your community

We have made some changes to the way we deliver housing and support services to provide you with a better experience.

You said you wanted us to be more visible in your neighbourhoods and better able to support you when issues come up. We've listened and acted on that feedback.

To make this happen, we've brought our housing teams together into one larger team. By working more closely together, we can make better use of our expertise and provide the right help and support when you need it.

What does this mean for me?

We have teams of specialists who will be able to help you with your housing issues or additional support you may need.  We’ve also introduced a new team called Neighbourhoods and Communities, which is made up of 23 housing officers, neighbourhood managers and resident engagement coordinators, who look after patches of around 550 homes each.

What will my Housing Officer do?

Your Housing Officer will be at the heart of your community, available in your neighbourhood to coordinate your enquiries, help resolve local issues, and support you.

How will I get hold of them?

We still have our Customer Contact team and specialist services, who can support with any issues or concerns. Ideally, we’d still like you to contact us in the ways you did before, to make sure we can get you the right support quickly. Your Housing Officer will be out and about in your area and will be setting up some walkabouts and activities to get to know you soon.

Who is my Housing Officer?

You can find out who covers your area here, or call our Contact team to ask them on 01225 366000. We’ll also be adding the name of your Housing Officer to your MyCuro account soon.

How will my Housing Officer work with me?
