Investing in your home
Your home should be safe, warm, energy efficient and comfortable.
This means that we need to make sure we're investing in the right things in your home, at the right time.
When we're deciding what work we need to do we'll take into account:
- Regulations and legislation: We need to make sure that we're meeting standards set by the government, including Awaab's Law and the Decent Homes Standard.
- Information from your last Home Condition Survey.
- Your home's energy efficiency rating (EPC)
- Any other data we have about your home, for example if there has been repeated repairs to the roof
Our priority is making sure that the windows, doors and roof of your home are in good condition, and that your home is secure. We'll also take into account the condition of other parts of your home such as the kitchen and bathrooms.
Wherever possible, we try to repair things like your kitchen and bathroom before we replace them. This is so we can prioritise upgrades in homes where the need is most pressing, and ensure we're getting the best value from the investments we make in your homes. If we can no longer repair something in your home or there’s a health and safety concern then we'll replace it.
If you need to report a repair, please get in touch.
