At Curo, we stand with Ukraine. Like many other housing associations, we already provide housing and support for refugees from other parts of the world, and we are ready to help again. We are talking to our local authority partners about the support we can offer as a housing association.
Homes for Ukraine
We’ve been contacted by many Curo residents asking whether their tenancy agreement will allow them to host refugees. If you want to do this, it’s important that you have enough space and that you tell us first.
Our standard tenancy agreements says you have the right to take in lodgers as long as:
- it doesn’t lead to overcrowding,
- you don’t grant a tenancy,
- you take responsibility for the people who live with you, and
- you get our agreement first.
If you’re a shared owner or leaseholder, the situation will be different.
Please contact us so we can look at your tenancy agreement or lease.
