If you’re looking for your first job or want to reskill for a new career, the South West construction sector is booming. With an estimated 30 years of construction projects in the pipeline there has never been a better time to build your career in construction. Read on to find out how you could benefit from free training and a guaranteed job interview with a construction firm.
We’ve teamed up with Bath College and construction company MadiganGill to kick start your construction career. Madigan Gill are recruiting for three Entry Level construction roles which could be the foundation to launch your career in construction.
Join Curo’s Construction Work Academy and you’ll receive full training, including your CSCS card, asbestos awareness and manual handling qualifications, a guaranteed job interview (for which you’ll receive training on what to expect) and a taster employer session to see if the roles are right for you.
You’ll be guaranteed an interview for these roles:
- General labourer
- Groundwork labourer
- Welfare labourer
Plus, to give you an insight into the construction careers these roles could lead to, you’ll have taster sessions in:
- Site carpentry
- Brick laying
- Stone masonry
- Painting and decorating

Who can apply:
- If you’re aged 18+ and claiming Universal Credit, you’ll be eligible.
- You don’t need to be a Curo resident to apply.
- You’ll need to live within approx. 30 miles of Bath, or a distance you’re happy to travel
