Each year at Curo’s Big Get Together, we celebrate customers who have given back to their communities and made where they live brighter, better and more pleasant for others.
We work closely with Avon Fire and Rescue to help ensure the safety of our customers and the wider community. Earlier this month, the fire service used one of our empty homes in Twerton for a training exercise. The fire fighters put dummies, the same size and weight as adults and children, into the house, and then filled the house with synthetic smoke to simulate a real fire.
A traumatic encounter with a stranger in distress, led Curo customer and Keynsham town councillor, Caitlin Brennan, on a life-changing and life-saving community mission.
Curo is proud to announce that it has been awarded LGBTQ+ Pledge Pioneer status by Stonewall Housing. It confirms that Curo continues to strengthen its commitment to serve LGBTQ+ customers and has a plan to bring the community’s voices to the fore in the design of services.
A customer has shared heartfelt praise for one of our colleagues in our Customer Accounts team, Debbie, whose support through the Passport to Housing service has made a lasting impact.
We’re very proud to be involved in a project that recently featured on the One Show. Kevin Duala from the popular BBC1 programme dropped by as we donated Chromebooks and monitors to local re-use charity Donate IT. They work across the south west, saving old IT from the scrapheap and putting devices in the hands of those in most need.

The Regulator of Social Housing looked at all aspects of the organisation and the services we provide to customers. The report provides a rigorous and independent overview of our strengths and areas for improvement.
