Procurement Act 2023

The Procurement Act 2023 (the “Act”) went live on the 24 February 2025 and has transformed how public bodies buy goods, works and services from external businesses.

Curo is considered a body governed by public law for the purposes of the Act, and as a result has an obligation to conduct procurement activity in-line with the rules set out in the Act.

It is important that businesses who wish to sell to Curo understand how the rules affect them and what they need to do to participate in contract opportunities with Curo.

The government’s information and guidance for businesses who wish to sell to public bodies includes guidance designed to provide a high level overview of the rules and are aimed at those wishing to sell to the public sector. It is advised that businesses who wish to sell to Curo review the guidance to understand the requirements under the Act.

Curo maintain a procurement policy, which is available on the Curo website. It is advised that businesses review the policy to understand Curo’s procurement policies.

Businesses should note that the rules require them to register on the Find a Tender and submit their core information before participating in a procurement competition. It is advised that businesses register on Find a Tender prior to registering on Curo’s eSourcing platform.
