Support for young people
Young people need a home and support in life, as well as training and work. Some don't have these. We fill the gap.
Curo provides housing, support and training to some of the most disadvantaged and vulnerable young people aged 16 to 25 with varying support needs, including care leavers.
Applicants for our accommodation services are nominated directly to us by Bath & North East Somerset and North Somerset Councils (see right).
This support makes a real difference to their lives. We offer help with emotional problems and practical help such as:
- Benefits advice and completing claim forms
- Housing advice
- Money management
- Anger management
- Basic cooking skills
- DIY
Our support services for young people include our Workwise employability and life skills scheme, a range of Pathways services and support for young parents.
We also work closely with B&NES 11-19 Preventions Service, The Prince's Trust, City of Bath College, Millennium Volunteers, SAFE B&NES and other agencies to make sure young people have the right services for their needs.
