Curo colleague praised for life-changing support through Passport to Housing

A customer has shared heartfelt praise for one of our colleagues in our Customer Accounts team, Debbie, whose support through the Passport to Housing service has made a lasting impact.
Vicki, a customer who recently completed her assessment with Debbie, described her experience as “transformational” after a difficult journey navigating the housing system.
“Until I spoke to Debbie, I was feeling really anxious about the appointment, but she put me at ease straight away. She was warm, compassionate and you could tell she truly cared.”
Debbie not only guided Vicki through the assessment process, but also helped her feel more confident and in control by clearly explaining the steps, available support, and signposting her to relevant services.
“She empowers you with information and gives you hope when you have none,” Vicki added. “She’s always responsive, efficient and willing to help. Nothing is ever too much.”
Debbie’s dedication didn’t stop there. When a grant for white goods was initially declined, she took it upon herself to contact the provider and successfully overturned the decision, making a huge difference to Vicki’s new start.
“Debbie goes the extra mile. She just really cares. I’m so grateful she’s looking after my case.”
The Passport to Housing service helps people prepare for a successful move into a Curo home, offering tailored advice and support to ensure they’re ready for the responsibilities of a tenancy.
