We’re once again partnering with More Trees B&NES to plant trees and hedgerows at two of our green spaces in Bath.
Last year, Curo staff, representatives from More Trees, local residents and councillors volunteered their time to help create mini forests and hedgerows at Oval Park and Stirtingale Park in Twerton.

This year, we’ll be adding to the greenery at Oval Park, and also planting at Holcombe Green in Weston, and we’re asking people to come along to help.
The planting days will be taking place at Holcombe Green on 25 and 26 February, and at Oval Park on 4 and 5 March, from 10am until around 3pm. You don’t need to come along for the whole session – just drop in and lend a hand whenever you can spare some time. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear as it might be wet and muddy.

All the plants have been grown by volunteers from More Trees at their HQ in Twerton and other sites around the city.
The planting programme is part of our long-term plans to improve our green spaces by creating homes and food for wildlife, as well as places for the community to enjoy.
The planting at Holcombe Green will also be part of a project to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the twinning of Bath with Alkmaar in the Netherlands.

Curo's Senior Arboriculturalist, Gordon Stuart said: "We’re delighted to be working with with More Trees for BANES again to plant locally raised tree species across our estate. “These planting projects are an important part of our work to improve communal spaces for our customers and the local communities, and to encourage biodiversity.
" We look forward to meeting anyone who can come along and help.”
