Curo at Bristol Pride 2025

Curo stands proud at Pride

This weekend, Curo proudly joined the vibrant celebrations at Bristol Pride, standing in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community and championing inclusion for all. Colleagues from our LGBTQ+ Inclusive Group took part in the city’s colourful Pride march and welcomed visitors to our dedicated stand on The Downs.

Thousands lined the streets of Bristol for the annual event, which celebrates diversity, equality, and love. Our team, including Kirstie De Beaufort, Becky Allen and Emma Collins-Todd, marched alongside other organisations and individuals, reflecting Curo’s core values of respect, openness, and belonging.

At our stand, we connected with the public through conversations, games, and giveaways, while sharing information about the wide range of services we offer - from supported housing and community projects to advice about money worries.

“Our stand on The Downs offered some shelter from the relentless heat and sparked brilliant conversations about the importance of safe spaces – whether that’s the security of your own home or a short, supported stay in one of Curo’s Wellbeing Houses,” said Kirstie De Beaufort. “Connecting with the community is what it’s all about.”

Championing belonging through ‘Feel At Home’

One of the main reasons we were there was to talk about Feel At Home, a Curo initiative that’s all about making sure everyone feels welcome, respected, and part of the community, no matter their background. It’s our commitment to creating spaces - both in the workplace and in our communities -  where everyone feels genuinely valued, respected, and welcome.

Whether it’s through our housing services, wellbeing support, or customer committees and groups, we’re working every day to remove barriers, celebrate diversity, and make sure everyone has the chance to feel at home.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who visited our stand and joined the march. Events like Bristol Pride are a reminder of the power of community and the importance of continuing the work to build a fairer, more inclusive world, not just during Pride, but all year round.
