At Ballance Street your hot water and heating is provided through a shared gas boiler. The fixed rate we were paying for this shared gas supply is ending and we’ve had to enter a new contract with new gas prices. Exceptionally high wholesale gas prices mean that this new contract will bring higher costs.
Although we will not be passing on the full costs to you at this time, the amount you pay for your heating and hot water will increase from 1 November 2022 to 20p per unit (kwh).
Over the next six months we’ll be ensuring your heating system is as efficient as possible and we’ll review these costs again after that period.
If you’re worried about being able to pay your rent, fuel or other essential bills, please contact our Customer Accounts Team on customeraccountshelp@curo-group.co.uk. We can check that you’re getting all the support you’re entitled to.
