Curo Appoints David McQuade as Interim Chief Executive Officer

Curo is pleased to confirm the appointment of David McQuade as Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective from April. The news follows the announcement in November that Victor da Cunha would be leaving the 14,000 home landlord after 14 years to take up a role at Notting Hill Genesis.

David McQuade was previously Chief Executive of Flagship Housing Group for more than 15 years. He stepped down in February 2025 after leading the organisation through a merger with Bromford.

Jane Tabor, Chair of Curo’s board, commented “We’re delighted that David is joining Curo to lead colleagues through this next transitional phase of our development.

"His outstanding track record and expertise are aligned with our vision and strategy, and he shares our values and our commitment to providing quality homes and services for customers. We’re confident that his leadership will provide stability and continued success as we move forward.”

David McQuade said “I’m excited to be joining Curo at this key time. It’s an organisation with a great reputation, as evidenced by their recent C1 regulatory grading – I’m looking forward to getting to know colleagues and customers and supporting the business’ ambitious plans for the future through this interim period”.

She is currently a board member at Housing & Care 21 and Care & Repair England.

Liz has a strong strategic understanding of the housing and care and support sectors, having worked as Director of Policy for the National Housing Federation and Regional Manager of Nacro Housing.
