Curo is once again sponsoring Bath Digital Festival – a 6-day celebration of all things tech in the city of Bath. The festival runs from 17-22 October 2017 and this year’s theme aims to be more inclusive than ever: ‘Tech for Everyone’, with almost fifty events packed into less than a week.
Bath itself is a real hub for digital and technology innovation, with pioneering centres at The Guild and Bath Science Park. Despite the historic beauty of the area, the heritage isn’t holding anyone back, and many are coming from across the country – and even further afield – to explore the digital richness of our city.
Each of the six days has a topic, from Digital Creativity to Digital Working, Digital Intelligence to Digital for Good. A packed programme includes a Digital Art Show, interactive comedy, a digital tour of Bath, Google seminars, an exploration of AI, eco-digital activism, and much more.
Tom Battersby, Director of ICT said: “At Curo we’re looking to the latest digital technology to give our customers the best service we can, so we’re really pleased to be supporting Bath Digital Festival. The festival is a great way for local people and businesses to discover the ever-increasing ways that the digital world can make all our lives easier.”
Now in its fifth year, the festival has expanded with the huge growth of technology and innovation in Bath and the greater South West region, with previous events showcasing everything from industry-leading speakers to interactive workshops and hackathons.
Commenting on this year’s theme, festival co-organiser Jim Morrison explains: “We’re committed to digital inclusion and innovation. As technologies change and advance, everyone is impacted. So it’s extremely important to us that this is reflected in the content and line-up of Bath Digital Festival in 2017.”
Hundreds of volunteers and local companies’ support makes Bath Digital Festival, so you can get involved by attending, volunteering, or sponsoring – the choice is yours.
