Big thanks to Ben Green, Emily Wong, Rebecca Simons, Tessa Cross and Rob Browne (pictured) from Danone in Trowbridge who took time out to transform the garden at our direct access homeless service in Bath.
The five volunteers were joined by Curo colleagues and residents staying at the service who all pitched in to make it this real team effort.
Curo's Community Services Team coordinated the volunteers and arranged for all the right materials to be there on the day, with Kellie Ostler and Tracy Benson helping out all day to renovate furniture, remove weeds, and add some extra love to the garden.
Colleagues from Curo's Response Team replaced old fencing with a new, safer structure and Kellie secured a community fund grant from Travis Perkins which paid for materials and plants. The day ended with a celebratory BBQ enjoyed by the families living at the centre and catered for by donations from Lidl thanks to the Neighbourly scheme.
