Giving wildlife a helping hand
After the success of No Mow May in 2020 and 2021, we’re joining the Nothing for Nature initiative this year. Nothing for Nature means giving nature a chance by leaving certain areas of grass to go wild for a while longer.
Here are some benefits:
- More wildflowers, which are…
- …a vital food source for bees, butterflies & other pollinators
- Pollinators are vital for food production
- More ecological activity
- Lower carbon footprint from our vehicles and machinery
As part of Nothing for Nature, we'll leave a small number of areas uncut for as long as possible to maximise the benefits. We'll cut some areas sooner than others - this will depend on the site.
We're also encouraging residents with lawns to get involved by giving their mowers a break during May. And if you have the space, consider leaving an area uncut for even longer.
What do you think?
We’d love your feedback. Do you support this idea? Can you suggest a Curo area where we could do this? Email us at email@example.com or contact us any other way here.
