From April 2018, we’ll start carrying out new ‘home condition surveys’ to see what improvements we need to make to our customers’ homes. This includes kitchens, bathrooms, and other items that form the fabric of your home. We will be surveying around 2,000 homes each year.
To plan this work, we need to have a look inside your home so we know if any work needs to be done.
If we need look at your home, we’ll write to you with an appointment for your home condition survey.
We can’t replace items in your home if we don’t know the condition, so please get in touch if you can’t make the appointment. We can always rearrange it for a more convenient time.
We do home improvements based on priority – the items which need replacing or repairing are done first.
We look at what the priorities should be every year and keep detailed records about your home to ensure we maintain it to a good standard.
We’ll also be starting our new home improvement programme soon. This year we’ll be:
- Replacing kitchens and bathrooms
- Decorating internal and external shared areas
- Replacing and repairing roofs
- Upgrading heating systems
- Replacing lifts
- Creating new bin stores in shared areas
If we’ve programmed your home for improvements, we’ll give you plenty of notice about what we’re planning to do and work with you on any special requirements you might have.
We also keep an eye on what needs to be done with other surveys from time to time – we’ll contact you when these happen. These surveys help us with our longer term planning.
