Fed up with diets? Learn how to manage your weight effectively at a free workshop at The Hub on Wednesday 29 January.
Laura Clark will host the session at The Hub, our community building in Mulberry Park.
Laura, a registered dietitian and regular guest on the BBC and ITV, explains: “Diets continue to be very popular and yet all too often they let us down. Despite lots of evidence that they don’t generally work, we are drawn into the promises they make.”
In the free session, Laura will explore:
- The dieting cycle – why it happens and how to break free from it.
- A different way to approach your weight management which takes care of your mental health and builds your confidence.
- How to eat – what does the research (not the celebrities) actually tell us.
- Free resources to download.
Laura adds, “Dieting can often have quite an impact on our mental wellbeing with incidences of depression, low self-esteem and anxiety being higher in those that are overweight. On the night we’ll be raising money for Bath Mind who support people to improve and maintain their mental health and wellbeing.”
The Hub are providing the room for free. Please bring a small donation for Bath Mind to cover refreshments.
