Foxhill Community Day

People living in Foxhill are getting together to show they love their neighbourhood by taking part in a community clear-up event on Friday 31 May.

The Foxhill Community Day, organised by local residents with Curo and Bath & North East Somerset Council, includes a litter pick and the offer of a free bulky waste collection for everyone who books in advance.

The Foxhill Community Day runs from 10am-3pm and offers a range of free activities for families with a bouncy castle, glitter tattoos and a free lunch for every helper.

Curo’s new Neighbourhood Manager for Foxhill is James Lewis: “The Foxhill Community Day is a great opportunity for local people to get together and have some fun, meet their neighbours and help to spruce up their neighbourhood at the same time. I’m looking forward to meeting lots of people and talking about how we can work together to make Foxhill a happy, safe and popular neighbourhood for everyone.”

Councillor David Dixon, Council Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods, said: “Community clear-ups are a great opportunity for local people to get involved in keeping their community clean and making it a proud place to live. The Council can provide assistance to any group or organisation who are looking to do similar, such as providing litter picking equipment or disposing of rubbish once it is collected.”

Residents joining the litter pick can take up the offer of a one-off free bulky waste collection by pre-booking with Curo on 01225 366199 or john.voysey@curo-group.co.uk.
