On 26 July, 70 children from across Bath and North East Somerset enjoyed a day of top football coaching organised by Bath & Wiltshire Schools Trust and supported by Curo.
Curo funding in the form of a Curo Community Grant enabled Curo residents to access the coaching at Bath’s Kingswood School for just £5.
Twelve-year-old Curo resident Qutaybah from Twerton in Bath took part in the day with his younger brother Sulayman. Qutaybah said: “There were loads of things to do – it was great fun. I’d definitely do it again!”
Curo resident Samantha Byrne from Southdown in Bath signed her son Kyle (10) up for the day. Samantha said: “The cost of £5 for this day was brilliant. My son loves football and I really like the fact that he’s meeting new children. I would love it if BWB and Curo were able to do this more frequently over the holidays as it gives the kids something they can do at a price that people can afford.”
We're keen to hear from local businesses who would like to team up to make more coaching days like this possible through matched funding. To find out more, contact us.
