Extra Care housing
We provide 'Extra Care' housing, designed for older people who need more support than sheltered housing offers but who would still like to be independent.
Extra Care housing offers self-contained properties let on normal assured tenancies, a range of communal facilities, including a restaurant serving midday meals, an assisted bathroom, guest suite, plus staff available on site 24 hours a day to provide care and support. Bath and North East Somerset Council provides the care. All applications should be made through its social services department.
There is already an Extra Care scheme at St John's Court, Bath, with a second now open at Greenacres, Midsomer Norton and a third, which has been built at Hawthorns, Keynsham.
