Victoria Avenue, Bristol
Curo is working with contractor Clayewater Homes to deliver 14 new affordable homes at Victoria Avenue in Easton, Bristol.
Ten of the homes currently under construction will be let on affordable rent and the remainder four will be made available through social rent to people on Bristol City Council’s housing list.
The 100% affordable housing scheme is the first to be part-funded by money from Curo’s Strategic Partnership with Homes England, secured jointly with Swan Housing Association at the beginning of last year.
In addition to the Strategic Partnership funding, Curo have also secured a grant of £244,000 from Bristol City Council for the new homes.
The land at Victoria Avenue/Matthew's Road that was historically used for a range of commercial activities, including as a builders’ merchants, garage, car showroom and warehouse, but has been lying vacant since 2012.
The brownfield regeneration project includes the preservation, refurbishment and change of use of a Grade II listed building.
Homes at Victoria Avenue will be completed in autumn 2021.
